Living Christ Church

The Annual meeting of Presbytery of Lanka was held on the Saturday 28, 2017 at Presbyterian Church, Scots Kirk, Kandy. Revd. Ravin Caldera represented Living Christ Church on an invitation and had a fruitful time of deliberations and reporting on the church ministry for the Second-semester Session of  March to September. The Moderator Revd. Saman Perera led devotions and reminded us at the presbytery that we are celebrating the Reformation Sunday on the following day, where the core  sola s  ( Sola Scriptura, Sola Fide, Sola Gratia, Solus Christus, Soli Deo Gloria ) are commemorated and uphold as a reformed tradition. He further stated that calling and election of Abram can be demonstrated only by the election of sola gratia  and this paradigm can be applied to us as a church and our ministry. The Ven. Keerthisiri Fernando the present Archdeacon of Nuwaraeliya of the Diocese of Colombo, has been elected as the new Bishop of the Diocese of Kurunegala of the Church of Ceylon. Ven. Keerthisiri is an academic and dedicated clergyman. We wish him every success and God's blessings for reviving the Diocese of Kurunagala, which is neglected for a long time.
